Bed Hook Fasteners with Pins

Double Bed Rail Hooks are a vintage style used to connect wood side rails to bed frames. These simple hook style fasteners are very popular, being used on both antique and new beds. They are sturdy, made of 13 gauge wrought steel. Sold by the set, includes four plates with sixteen pins. One set will assemble one bed. USA made.

These bed hooks are unfinished, 13 gauge steel. They have proven to stand the test of time being both durable and strong. The pins are steel.

Install Bed Hook Fasteners for Wood Bed Frames

To connect, slide bed hooks over pins, in slot in headboard and foot-board. Beds are easily dismantled or re-assembled as needed.

Bed Side Rails

• Mortise hook-plate into 3-1/2" high x 3/32" wide x 1-1/8"deep slot in each end of bed side rail. Secure to rail with 2 pins.

Bed Posts

• A slot 5" high x 3/32" wide x 1-3/8"deep is required in each bed post to receive a hook. If a slot, also known as a kerf, does not exist, it must be cut.
• Hooks hang on 2 Pins that are recessed into each headboard and foot-board post.
• If pins are not there, holes for pins should be drilled 19/64" in diameter, 2" on center. They should be inserted from the inside of the bed post thru the slot so that they do not show once the bed is assembled.

To remove old pins

• Drill small hole opposite pin in bed post.
• Then use a small punch tool to drive pin out original entry hole.
